About
The Orlando Radio Control Helicopter Society was founded in 1988 in order to promote the sport of R/C helicopter building and flying in the Central Florida area. We are an open club with a membership ranging from total beginners to some of the world’s top 3D pilots.
Help is available from all members on all facets of the hobby. Our East side flying site is at the Orlando Speed World on route 50 in Bithlo, FL. Our west side flying site is in the Winter Garden reclamation area located on Ocoee Apopka Rd. between West McCormick Rd. and West Rd. Note: This location is gate locked, so please contact a member to let you in if you are interested in visiting. A waiver has to be signed and notarized before flying is allowed at this site.
Our meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at the Fashion Square Mall. Meetings consist of a short business discussion followed by a technical question and answer session and an informative show and tell. Come join us and enjoy the sport with others who share your interest in these fascinating machines! When visiting the Orlando area, AMA members are welcome to come fly with us. Contact a club member and we’ll meet you at the field to do some flying.
